In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
